The Sunshine Coast is a safe and popular destination, thanks to its easy access, local airport and proximity to Brisbane, Australia’s third largest city.
Sunshine Coast Airport is serviced by Jetstar and Virgin Australia, as well as a seasonal service from Auckland with Air New Zealand. Centrally located in Marcoola, the Sunshine Coast Airport is ideally located to access the heart, soul, lifestyle and playground of the Sunshine Coast.
Alternatively, Brisbane Airport is both an international and domestic gateway to Queensland with regular transfers to the Sunshine Coast.
Bus services operate hourly door-to-door airport shuttle services between the Brisbane Airport and Sunshine Coast seven days a week. Transport between Brisbane Airport and the Sunshine Coast can also be accessed via the train to Beerwah, Landsborough or Nambour train stations. Limousines can be booked for private transfers.
Mount Tibrogargan circuit is an easy three kilometre walk but if you have more time you can try the six kilometre Trachyte circuit. Make sure you pack a picnic too.
You can four wheel drive up the beach and camp at fantastic points along Teewah Beach or at Inskip Point. Don't forget you need a permit if you are camping or four wheel driving on the beach!
