Evenings are pleasant with temperatures around 20°C (68F). During the winter months there are clear skies and daytime temperatures average 20°C (68F). Winter brings cool nights and evening temperatures on the coast average 10°C (50F). Light frosts may occasionally occur, especially in the hinterland.

Summer

From December to February, the average maximum daily temperate is 28°C (82F) with a minimum of 20°C (68F). Our sub-tropical climate means January to March is the wettest period attracting the odd summer shower. The season remains pleasant enough to enjoy all the activities the Sunshine Coast has to offer: the beach, alfresco dinning, bushwalking, fishing and more.

Autumn

As summer draws to a close, on the Sunshine Coast, temperatures range from 10°C (50F) to 25°C (77F). The hinterland puts on a beautiful display with the deciduous trees beginning to change their colours, and pleasant evenings bringing a waft of camellias and azalea scent through the air.

Winter

The Sunshine Coast is the place to be in winter, with sunny days and temperatures averaging 18°C (64F) - 20°C (68F). The nights are milder yet you can still enjoy the coastline and all of its activities. It’s also a chance to enjoy the smell and warmth of open fires at a cosy B&B in the hinterland.

Spring

Spring is magnificent season across the Sunshine Coast with a pleasant 17°C (68F) - 25°C (77F) temperatures. It is one of the most popular times on the Sunshine Coast for residents and holiday makers. The water temperatures make for a refreshing and relaxing segue to winter, a time for reconnecting with loved ones at beachside picnics or adventures in the hinterland.
